INTENT
&Scene’s primary intent is to provide an engaging and alternative approach to literary texts & mental health for KS1 & KS2 students through theatrical practice. We are also now providing Improvisation and Scene study workshops for senior participants.
IMPLEMENTATION
Each workshop will be expertly designed around one specific topic. Students will explore voice, movement, character & story themes within the workshop and gain a greater understanding of how it relates to the workshop's theme.
IMPACT
Students will finish the workshops with an improved understanding of each topic and (we hope) a love of drama & theatre practice. Raising students' confidence, and public speaking skills.

NEW TO 2024 - Mental Health & Wellbeing Workshops
&Scene Theatre Co. was founded in 2021, by professional Actor and Theatre Workshop Facilitator Lauren Greenwood. Starting out as a Rehearsed Reading company, &Scene brought together creatives from across the UK and Internationally to showcase new writing and acting talent. After working as a theatre workshop facilitator for The British Theatre School, Lauren’s passion naturally evolved into bringing more theatre practice to children and young adults. Lauren also has experience working as a TA in primary schools across Greater Manchester, she is enhanced DBS certified and has up to date safeguarding training.
